Your bra needs shift as treatment ends and normal life picks back up. In the earliest weeks, easy dressing and gentle coverage matter more than shape, which is why so many women live in a soft recovery bra. Later, the same drawer has to cover work, exercise, sleep, and evenings out, and that usually means two or three cuts rather than one. What to look for in a mastectomy bra

Many plans, including Medicare, cover post-mastectomy bras when a doctor prescribes them, and most allow a set number each year alongside a breast prosthesis. Documentation rules and allowances differ from plan to plan, so call your insurer before you order.
